Nobody does it like Yung Singh. He stands as one of the most exciting DJs on the European circuit, having spent the summer of 2022 levelling up from local phenomenon to shining continental star.
An open format DJ, Singh’s sets can vary in genre from Garage, UK Funky to grime, jungle and DnB mixed with Punjabi folk, to sweet, nostalgic trance or hip-hop, and everything in between. “People are like: how am I supposed to define this guy?” Singh chuckles. “I am never going to allow myself to get boxed in” – if the last 2 years are anything to go by, expect the unexpected at a Yung Singh set.
Across 2021, for which he was awarded DJ Mag’s ‘Breakthrough DJ of the Year’, he curated a string of viral moments, from an era-defining Boiler Room set to a spontaneous collaboration with singer Raf Saperra at Fabric that now sits in UK club folklore. Singh’s output has helped to re-energise the British Punjabi and South Asian music scene - with several stand-out performances at South Asian focused events cementing his position at the forefront of this resurgence. As one of Europe’s most wanted underground weapons, Héctor Oaks style stands out for playing the unexpected and the highly engaging. As DJ, producer and label head his take on techno resonates by combining the contemporary with hand-picked tracks from the history of rave culture.
Héctor Oaks has been behind the turntables for almost half of his life. Gaining his first credits in Madrid's underground, it was when he relocated to Berlin, that his DJing really took off.
Known for his stamina and mixing skills, it is his selection that truly stands out. What seems eclectic on the first sight, is a well-curated mix of vinyl gems. Héctor Oaks seeks for the sweet spot between tracks that are connected not by genre but vibe and style. As vinyl-only DJ, his selection thrives on Oaks’ passion for digging in record shops all around the world.
Héctor Oaks became a staple of the international techno scene. A steady guest of Berlin’s steaming Herrensauna since it’s early instalments, he joined as resident when the party moved to techno legend Tresor. Described as a non-conformist by the press, and likened to-a chameleon by fellow musical peer and Running Back label owner Gerd Janson, Flügel's approach to music is hard to pin-down – a fact he takes great pleasure in. “I enjoy the surprise”, Flügel says about his DJing, “that’s why it’s difficult to describe what I do”. As a DJ rooted in the broad tradition of house and techno, his sets vary between location, crowd and time; change being his only constant. He is a DJ, live performer, producer, remixer and label owner. A chameleon with a broad palette of colours, if you will. Discussing the contemporary electronic music scene in Germany without mentioning Flügel's contribution would be near impossible. In 1993, alongside production cohort Jörn Wuttke (with whom Flügel collaborated with on many projects, having hit records as Alter Ego, Holy Garage and more), he established the labels Ongaku, Klang Elektronik as well as Playhouse, a now legendary imprint that released iconic records by Isolée, Ricardo Villalobos and LoSoul. It essentially set a new cultural marker for European house and techno.
As a DJ, Flügel is someone that honours the music. When playing, each record is given time to properly
breathe, so its form and character can bleed onto the dancefloor, before giving a deep and progressive mix into the next record. There’s no gimmicks in his sets, just a great understanding of music and the time, patience and dexterity to blend the tracks into a smooth, free-flowing and inspired narrative. Flügel doesn’t just take you on journeys, he is the cartographer, mapping out the entire musical landscape, before sharing with you the broader world he inhabits.

Anetha is a French artist, DJ, producer, label manager, talent agency co-founder and a trained architect.
Transmitting the glossy textures of techno, trance and experimental music, Anetha whips up bouncy basslines, stomping kickdrums, glorious melodies and a sprinkling of melancholic motifs, gracing clubs and festivals worldwide. Since breaking out on the Parisian scene in 2012, the Bordeaux-based artist has garnered a global audience, delivering lush and luminous sounds with attention to detail, nimble mixing and absolute focus — as one would expect from an artist with an architectural background.
In 2020, Anetha launched the talent agency and record label Mama loves ya to sustainably nurture emerging artists.
2024 marks the release of Anetha’s album on Mama told ya, welding a palette of post-club, techno, nu-wave, rave, and DnB and exploring themes of sustainability, femininity, toxic masculinity and unwarranted opinions in the music industry. In true Anetha style, she conveys these subjects with playfulness and a touch of irony.

Say what you wanna say, but you have to give Strahil Velchev this: the man’s a powerhouse. Recording and playing live under the KiNK alias, he went on to become one of the finest purveyor’s of funk in techno and house. What it is, by definition, ain’t exactly clear. And that is the beauty of it.
KiNK’s music is unifying in the best possible way. Channeling the spirit and feeling of a time where it didn’t really matter who the faces behind the music were, KiNK plays with the elements of genres and sub-genres as if the future of it all is still wide-open. At the same time it could be accused of retro-fetishism, as much as the Pope himself is infallible.
The pure need to recreate moments, feelings and experience – rather than carbon copies of existing designs – was what started KiNK’s production work. Hailing from Bulgaria, it was nearly impossible to get your hands on all the records and music that fed into a system of raves, clubs and record shops that seemed far away from Sofia, and financially it might as well have meant another galaxy. Wanting to DJ without having access to the tracks that spun the carousel meant that you had to create them yourselves. So, here we go with a private bootlegger gone public mastermind and one of the loudest voices in house, techno and beyond.
From KiNK’s early productions with Neville Watson to his smash-hit for Ovum, a cerebral album for Macro, tons of remixes & tracks and his mind-bending live act, Playground seems to take all that into a blender. Simultaneously a sound- summary, the harvest of a field of ideas, and the exhibition of an artist in his prime, it also works as a sort of KiNK dictionary: avant-garde soundscapes stand next to boisterous bangers, classic club tracks and peak time emotions find their idiosyncratic and contemplative counterparts – all of it coming down like a torrent in a drought.

Watching DJ BORING in action is the antithesis of his mundane pseudonym; vibrant, energising, fun and full of passion, Tristan Hallis puts his all into every set. Over the last few years he has ascended rapidly thanks to his dazzling displays, impeccable selection and high quality productions. The Australian selector takes great pride in his digging capabilities, constantly searching for lesser-known gems from years gone by, and pairing them up with more recent cuts that are equally exceptional.
Since he arrived with ‘Winona’ in 2016, DJ BORING has continued to push forward and demonstrate his abilities on stage, in the clubs, at festivals and behind-the-scenes in the studio. Launching to prominence out of Herrensauna's infamous underground parties, CEM has forged a singular path as a fierce club DJ unafraid of turning the dancefloor moody.
CEM's unique brand of emotive hysteria was forged in Herrensauna's hedonistic Berlin furnace in the last few years, and as one of the party's three core members, he has been at the heart of the operations since its inception. With the party attracting more and more attention for its critical contribution to Berlin's queer community, as well as their raw italometal aesthetic, the opportunity came to move into Tresor, where it has cemented its place as a unique addition to Berlin's nocturnal topography.
With a preference for UK-tweaked tracks from across the contemporary milieu of harder club works, nor with a fear of breakbeats or sullen moments, he's a rare species of DJ that seeds intensity in even the most hesitant of movers. As he says «Alone you goin’ fast, together you goin’ further», Mac Declos looks up to his ladssuch as François X, Kuss or Lacchesi with who he already produced numerous collabs. Moreover, his hotty edit of «Give It To Me» with Lacchesi exploded Soundcloud counters with 2,6 millions streams. Eclectic, with an unpredictable hypersonic sound, intense yet precise, Mac Declos swings furiously between body and mental, hits high-paced without losing any groove: projected into a frenetic race, we are all invited to lose control during Mac’s kicky-bouncy techno sets. Recently, Mac Declos dropped « Cuir en cage », his first 5-tracks EP on Myst.
He also released his first 10-tracks LP on Mama told ya MTY-007 «Hard work always pays off». Lately Mac Declos has been playing major clubs like Berghain, RSO, Aeden in Berlin, Fuse in Brussels, PAL in Hamburg, Rex Club in Paris and E1 in London til name a few.

ROAD TO REDLIGHT IS COMING TO COPENHAGEN! 

Eastern Margins and Tofu Collective presents a night of live performance, incredible djs, and great fun at Hangaren! 

Eastern Margins presents the Berlin-based DJ, producer and composer Rui Ho who makes electronic music that bridges the modern club music landscape with traditional Chinese sounds. By infusing melodies of her Shanghai home into compositions and productions, while drawing inspiration from everything from Grime, Rave and Reggaeton to top 40 hits, to Japanese anime and gaming soundtracks, the result is a captivating fusion that combines the energy of a vibrant club night with nostalgic melodies from both the past and present, the East and the West!

As part of Eastern Margins' resident artists comes Nanzhen Yang – a virtuoso in merging the passion for danceable music with experimental soundscapes, navigating the realm between romanticism and hard-hitting industrialism with finesse! 

Tofu Collective present artist, DJ and composer Betty Apple, who recently showcased her solo exhibition at Tofu Collective's nonprofit gallery, Tofu Space! Betty Apple blends her expertise as a sound artist with her profound affection for rave sounds, channeling her bold energy into every performance.

To start of the evening, friends of Tofu Collective and Eastern Margins Angel Wei and Ryong will get you warm with their always eclectic and vibrant set and kind personalities.

As one of the most iconic artists of her generation, Ellen Allien embodies the core ethos of techno: a visionary who looks to the future for inspiration, carving out her own niche and presiding over an empire that has imbued techno, and dance music culture, with her unique DNA.
Her latest LP, AurAA, dropped in June 2020 featured a variety of hard-hitting, rave-inspired techno cuts, but all delivered with Ellen’s idiosyncratic sound signature; high-octane beats and distinct use of vocals with irresistible rhythms and grooves, which create listening and emotional qualities that resonate beyond the dancefloor.
Unable to tour in 2020, she conceived the Balcony Streaming sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin. The livestreams allowed her to continue DJing and engaging with her fanbase, while also supporting music from a wide range of artists, new and old.
She channeled her curatorial experience into an expansive three-part compilation series. Named after her We Are Not Alone parties, the collection comprised 33 tracks from artists that embody the ethos of the brand; club music with a rugged aesthetic and an unapologetic dance floor focus. Her most recent releases are tracks on compilations by the collectives Gegen Berlin and Serendeepity. Before the end of 2021 she'll release the remixes of one of her favorite bands Lebanon Hanover on BPitch - originally created for her own sets and released by popular demand - a new EP for her label UFO Inc, and a remix for Regal.

When Caleesi & Sarah Kreis play together, it’s more than a b2b in the classic sense of a pingpong game behind the decks: their collaboration is a true symbiosis of sound that brings their individual tastes together seamlessly. While their musical roots started at different ends of the audio spectrum, they both harbour a strong love for deepness, groovy basslines and warm melancholia that create a special vibe and melt dance floors, all the while pushing the listeners with their unique drive. And because their common love for music doesn’t end there, they founded their own music label “Circles & Stones” in 2019 in a bid to shine a light on talented artists whose music they admire.

For aspiring DJs and producers, or indeed anyone who appreciates a good story, the genesis of Palms Trax couldn’t have read any dreamier. You know the one; curious yet naive son of the English Riviera lands a job at one of London’s leading record stores and discovers the masters of Chicago house and Detroit techno. Later, stumbling around Berlin, his primitive attempts to emulate the sound of his newfound heroes accidentally land him a bona fide dance floor hit. A gradual but steady stream of EPs courtesy of Dutch dance music powerhouse Dekmantel have allowed his productions to blossom in richer, smoother directions. On 2015’s ‘In Gold’ EP, and throughout the following year’s ‘High Point on Low Ground’, halcyon hallmarks of house - euphoric piano lines, bubbling acid and luminescent keys - are shot through with Donaldson’s tough, distinctive percussion.
It’s that same connection with Dekmantel that has encouraged Donaldson to quickly evolve as a DJ. A memorable performance at Dekmantel’s flagship Amsterdam festival in 2015 captured open hearts, lost minds and aching feet. Since then, the sound of Palms Trax has been a fixture on their enormous main stage, drifting seamlessly between vintage house, esoteric disco and the various shades of a bubbling UK underground he has helped define. Occasional back-to-back performances with the likes of Hunee, Young Marco, and Midland, all DJs regularly credited for their breadth of musical knowledge and versatility, speak volumes for Donaldson’s DJing nous, which has lead him on an international trail; from South America to Australia, and from Panorama Bar to Concrete, Contact, and De School.

Ross From Friends, aka British producer Felix Clary Weatherall, released his first single in nearly two years, ‘The One’, in April 2023 via his own imprint Scarlet Tiger. Following on from his second album, ‘Tread’, ‘The One’ continues to build upon his craftsmanship of emotive storytelling through ever-increasing danceability. The track leans on a bouncy two-step rhythm before building into his signature euphoric soaring synths to create a track to pull on your heartstrings.

.One of the most in demand selectors from the Ukrainian techno scene, Daria Kolosova has been DJing for over 12 years. Not limiting her style to a single genre, she bases her style on hard and groovy techno, which she frequently mixes with breakbeat, industrial, electro, hardcore, or jungle, which always makes her performances exciting and rich in genres. Based in Berlin, Daria has played some of the world’s most renowned institutions, with frequent bookings at Berghain, Bassiani, Fabric, London’s Fold and Junction 2 Festival, Awakenings Festival, and this summer played at Amnesia, HÏ and DC10 in her first Ibiza season.

.Australian-born, London-based DJ/producer Teneil Throssell (aka HAAi) aims to bring out the inherent psychedelic qualities in dance music with sets that incorporate rare records from around the world. After a stint in the psychedelic band Dark Bells, Throssell took up DJing, originally as a resident at Ridley Road Market Bar. In 2016, she became the resident DJ at Phonox in Brixton, boosting her profile considerably. Given the freedom to play all night long on a weekly basis led to unpredictable, trippy sets and a loyal following. By the end of 2018, she had performed at numerous festivals, including Glastonbury, Field Day, and Nuits Sonores, and her contribution to BBC's Essential Mix had been crowned the program's best mix of the year.
HAAi's ascent has been swift from the start. After releasing a couple of well-received EPs on her own label, Coconut Beats. She released her debut album "Baby, We're Ascending," in 2022, a 13-track journey that takes you along for the ride — from hardcore, echoey beats to sweeping, colourful synth lines and bright, warped vocal samples. Featuring Jon Hopkins, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor to singer Obi Franky and spoken word poet and activist Kai Isaiah Jamal. By HAAi's own words: "That's when it all kicked off".

Najaaraq Vestbirk also known as Courtesy, is a Danish artist based between Copenhagen and Berlin. Her multidisciplinary practice began on the dancefloor, using it as a starting point to examine the organic relationships formed between strangers, investigating the ways people coalesce in these transcendent spaces and the intimate exchanges that occupy it. Spanning installation, composition, DJ sets, performance, photography and video, Vestbirk is highly interested in the liveness and interactive potential of performance, particularly in collective exchange and questioning ways in which the artist can absolve the line between artist and audience.
Vestbirk’s work is highly expansive and symbiotic, incorporating elements of sound to inform her visual practice, whilst simultaneously employing photography to form a conduit between her and the audience to challenge the presence of her performances.
Under the moniker Courtesy, Vestbirk has toured extensively as a DJ, having performed in distinguished venues and festivals around the world such as Berghain, Bassiani and Sónar by Night. She is also the founder and artistic director of Kulør, a record label and multidisciplinary artistic platform that since 2018 has produced records, books, exhibitions, and programming across the music and contemporary art worlds.

Julian Muller’s progression into the techno scene has been markedby an eclectic odyssey through genre-defying soundscapes. Roi Perez is a DJ and music enthu­si­ast. Roi began his DJ career in the queer club scene in 2011. 2 year after he move to Berlin, and soon start­ed play­ing Berlin’s busiest dance­floors, includ­ing Berghain’s Panora­ma Bar, where he holds a res­i­den­cy. Since then he’s gone to play­ing world­wide – in sweaty club booths, open air and fes­ti­val stages.
His long, eclec­tic sets offer a dynam­ic musi­cal jour­ney through gen­res and styles, where house and tech­no music are weaved togeth­er with dis­co and breaks, cre­at­ing a hyp­no­tiz­ing, pow­er­ful yet play­ful musi­cal experience.
In Berlin he’s worked as a local music selec­tor for London’s pres­ti­gious Phon­i­ca Records shop, where his love for vinyl, devo­tion and fas­ci­na­tion with elec­tron­ic music met his dai­ly rou­tine. Long time with­out any pro­duc­tion endeav­ours he’s used the clo­sure of club land for his debut as a pro­duc­er: his col­lab­o­ra­tion with Aval­on Emer­son, the stel­lar peak time bel­ter ​“Cham­pu Princess”, was released on Ostgut Ton’s 2021 expan­sive anniver­sary com­pi­la­tion. But ulti­mate­ly, Roi stays true to strict­ly play­ing records. House music always at the heart, his inter­ac­tion and cre­ative exchange with local vinyl col­lec­tors as well as fel­low DJs remains key – both for his pri­vate life and his pro­fes­sion as a selector.

STATEMENT:
Hangaren does not judge people by their origin or nationality. We believe in people actions. Roi Perez has through several party initiatives emphasize creating a safe environment for its queer community and marginalized groups, celebrating the shared humanity that transcends borders and political strife. and the ability to build bridges and solidarity between Palestinians, Israelis, Jews, Arabs etc.
Latest by throwing the LAUNDRETTE fundraiser at Panorama Bar in November. Where profits went to three organisations—Standing Together, Culture Of Solidarity and Beit El-Meem—which aim to help survivors of the SUPERNOVA Festival attack, displaced Palestinians, unsheltered Bedouin communities and LGBTQIA+ Arabs in Palestine and Israel.
Launched in 2021, LAUNDRETTE has a history of fundraising for local organisations helping Palestinian LGBTQIA+ people, among other marginalised groups.

HANGAREN
Hangaren at Refshalevej 185 is an old hangar construction turned into a nightclub for electronic music and event space. Hangaren is located at a secluded green spot on Refshaleøen in central Copenhagen. We are here to present the city's vibrant electronic music scene.
You will be treated with a heavy soundsystem by Funktion-One.
There is a cosy courtyard with chill-out possibility, a bonfire, big sky scenery from where you can watch the sunset, the stars and the sunrise. The bar serves organic beers, drinks at fair prices.
Our main purpose is to serve as a platform and inspiration for the cultural scene in Copenhagen.

This is a shared space and there should be an open atmosphere where everyone can enjoy themselves, whoever they are or wherever they come from.
